Just for you: a short dialogue

Once upon a time, while I was innocently singing the praises of the Almighty, she struck me dead and sent me straight to hell. I exclaimed, "What the hell? Hell doesn't exist!"

She replied, "It didn't, so I created one just for you."

"But, but, why?"

"I don't like your attitude."

"What's wrong with my attitude?"

"You're always blaming me for everything that goes wrong in your life."

"But," I said, "who else could be responsible for things I have no control over?"

"The devil."

"No way, I know the devil doesn't exist!"

She replied, "He didn't, so I created one just for you."

Certainty

Certainty is a ready refuge for people who fear thought, which is why many people never question their fundamental assumptions about life and death. God forbid! Religious faith without certainty is impossible for them to comprehend. (6-9-2009)

Parents and Children

Parents forgive their children every day, and their children make them pay! Children judge their parents with a harsh measure called cruelty, especially their mothers. (3-27-2008)
