There was once a King born in Beth-Lehem. He was a handsome young man, with red hair and beautiful eyes, and a good heart. He was a gifted musician, and a skillful poet whose words displayed great insight and devotion. He was also a strong shepherd and a brave warrior. His name was David.
His greatness became the standard set for all future leaders, his legacy became a redemptive hope. As the refrain declares:
David, the King of Israel, the Living and Enduring King of Israel!
